Multi-layer Products. How and Why?
The concept of multi-layer pipes is about specially manufactured products that were made to work under the harsh weather conditions and temperature fluctuations in the regions of Saudi Arabia. Through conducting many pieces of research, we at Al-Koblan Factory for Pipes manufacturing have come up with products developed to last and meet the needs of our customers, taking into account some parameters related to life span, degrees of expansion, resistance to internal and external pressure, and other factors that we studied to cover all the requirements of local markets.
What
are Multilayer Pipes?
The concept
of multi-layer pipes is about specially manufactured products that were made to
work under the harsh weather conditions and temperature fluctuations in the
regions of Saudi Arabia.
Through
conducting many pieces of research, we at Al-Koblan Factory for Pipes
manufacturing have come up with products developed to last and meet the needs of our customers, taking into
account some parameters related to life span, degrees of expansion, resistance
to internal and external pressure, and other factors that we studied to cover
all the requirements of local markets.
The
Beginning of Multilayer Pipe
The Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia is characterized by the expansion of its territories and the
many climatic environments in different regions over seasons or even over
different hours throughout the day. Hence the need to find pipes and
accessories to suit all these changing conditions and operate efficiently in
extremely high or low temperatures throughout the year without interruption.
We first
started by experimenting with traditional products and studying the changes
that occur to the pipes during their use in different places and under
different climatic conditions, in order to understand the most suitable
components that suit each environment separately, noting the amounts of
expansion and contraction and the life span of those pipes.
Later on,
we worked to start manufacturing several models and conducting laboratory and
field experiments to check the compatibility of new products with the needs of
the markets and the customers. Finally, we started producing special pipes that
will help solve all the problems facing our customers and achieve the desired
goal of providing exceptional, convenient, and economic products.
Types
of Multilayer Pipes
The types
of products and the layers surrounding the base pipe differ according to the
customer’s requirements and places of use, as we at Al-Koblan factory, in
addition to our traditional products, produce three special types that can be
classified according to their features as follows:
Products Resistant
to Direct Sunlight
These pipes
are specially designed for use in high temperatures and have a black
polyethylene coating to protect them from UV rays. They have proven to be
highly efficient when used in open spaces and have a lifespan that is many
times longer than that of conventional pipes.
Robust Products
with High Resistance
These
products include pipes with two additional layers to increase resistance
against internal and external pressures, where the pipe is coated with a layer
of high-strength fiberglass and another layer of polypropylene, which is the
same material as the base tube. These pipes are characterized by high
resistance to cracks and low degrees of linear expansion that make them
suitable for use in various buildings and structures. Taking into account the
size of the outer diameter and wall thickness of the pipe is very similar to
that of conventional tubes.
Low Linear Expansion
Products
One of the
most advanced products with five layers that make it an ideal choice for use in
special conditions and more complex requirements. These pipes have been
developed to meet the needs of customers looking for products with extremely
low linear expansion (less than 25%), as well as high strength and resistance
to shocks or cracks.
The outer
and inner layers are made of high-quality polypropylene, and the middle layer
is made of aluminum metal and surrounded at both ends by a special highly
flexible adhesive that helps insulate the tube and connect it with the aluminum
plate in the middle.
We did not
stop there, as we intend to move forward with our studies and research
continuously to include more distinctive brands in our products list, in the
hope of covering the needs of all customers and providing unique products with
superior quality and long life.
